Swedish singer and actress Lena Philipsson steps into a leading role in The Street Where I Live, a new six-part drama series inspired by her own hit song. The series, which premieres in the UK exclusively on Viaplay on Monday, 7 April, tells a touching story about love, loss, and the bonds of a close-knit community.
Philipsson plays Nina, a single mother living in a peaceful Swedish neighbourhood with her two teenage children. After losing her husband Erik four years ago, she has leaned on her neighbours for support, forming deep connections that have helped her heal. But when she meets Richard (played by Ilkka Villi) and opens herself up to love again, her new relationship has an unexpected impact on the entire community.
Created and written by Mikael Newihl (Max Anger - With One Eye Open), the series explores the warmth and complications of small-town life, where everyone knows each other's business, and change isn't always welcome. With a mix of heartfelt drama and uplifting moments, The Street Where I Live offers a moving look at second chances and the power of human connection.
The series consists of six 45-minute episodes and will be available in Swedish with English subtitles.
