Channel 4.0 is leveling up its game with The Snake, a brand-new quiz format that blends competitive trivia with psychological strategy. The six-part series, produced by Strong Watch Studios, premieres 1 May on Channel 4.0's YouTube channel, and it's already stirring buzz for flipping the standard quiz show formula on its head.

At the heart of The Snake is a simple premise with a twist. Each episode begins with six popular digital creators and a shared prize pot of £5,000. Their mission? Work together to answer a set of multiple-choice questions and protect the prize fund. But among them are two hidden "Snakes", players whose goal is to sabotage the game from within. Instead of helping the group, the Snakes try to lead them toward the wrong answers. Any money lost from mistakes goes straight to the Snakes' stash. The other players, dubbed "investigators," must figure out who's lying and vote them out before it's too late. If both Snakes are exposed, the honest players split the remaining pot. But if even one Snake survives undetected, they take it all.

The first series features a stacked lineup of creators, including Adeola Patronne, Chloe Burrows, Danny Aarons, Harry Pinero, Mariam Musa, Zeze Millz, Max Fosh, and more. With personalities known for their sharp wit, comedic timing, and big followings, viewers can expect plenty of tension, bluffing, and unexpected alliances.

Evie Buckley, Digital Commissioning Editor and Channel 4.0 Lead, described the show as a major step in the platform's evolution. "As 4.0 celebrates one billion views, we are incredibly excited to introduce Strong Watch Studio's new and innovative quiz format. The Snake is a perfect example of how we are committed to bold, creative entertainment that speaks directly to young British audiences."

Strong Watch Studios, who previously worked on Creator Clash mini-games for Channel 4.0, also returns with new episodes of that series. Creator Clash puts influencers in bizarre and entertaining challenges, from the bluffing and eating game Bait & Plate to fashion guessing games like Legit Check. These bite-sized competitions feature many of the same creators and give them a chance to flex different skills, and take part in some hilarious forfeits.

Executive producer Ben Powell-Jones praised the collaboration, saying, "We loved working with 4.0 to push the limits of what is possible in digital, continuing to blur the lines between TV-level production and digital reach."

With its fresh take on the quiz format, high-stakes gameplay, and a sharp mix of humor and suspense, The Snake promises to be an addictive watch for fans of reality game shows and YouTube drama alike.
