Filming is now underway for the highly anticipated second series of the award-winning BBC Three and BBC iPlayer comedy Things You Should Have Done. The RTS and Broadcast Digital Awards-winning series, created by and starring BAFTA-nominated Lucia Keskin, returns with fresh chaos, heartfelt moments, and new cast additions, including celebrated comedian and actress Bridget Christie.

Returning to Ramsgate for its unique seaside setting, series two continues to follow Chi (Keskin), a self-proclaimed "stay-at-home daughter" who remains reluctant to embrace adulthood. Following the emotional fallout of season one, Chi's dysfunctional world expands with the arrival of grief counsellor Ruth, played by Bridget Christie. Ruth is a wildly unorthodox therapist who hijacks Chi's to-do list of unfinished life tasks, pushing her to confront the outside world with a mix of motivation and mayhem.

Christie shared her excitement, saying: "I've always wanted to play a bisexual therapist in a Lucia Keskin TV show that films near the sea. Living the dream folks. Living the dream."

The new series also revisits familiar faces as Dave (Daniel Fearn) bumbles his way through single life, Lucas (Jamie Bisping) attempts to become the man of the house, and Chi tries to ensure he doesn't. As Ruth entangles herself deeper into the family's lives, the show promises more offbeat adventures in the quirky coastal town.

Fresh off its wins for Best Comedy Programme at the 2025 Broadcast Digital Awards and Best Scripted Comedy at the 2025 RTS Awards, Things You Should Have Done has become one of the BBC's standout comedy offerings. Keskin, who is also nominated for Emerging Talent: Fiction at the upcoming BAFTA TV Craft Awards, continues to make her mark as a rising star in British television.

Produced by Roughcut TV and commissioned by Jon Petrie, BBC Director of Comedy, the 6x30 series is directed by Jack Clough, produced by Steve Monger, with executive producers Ash Atalla and Alex Smith. Seb Barwell serves as the BBC's commissioning editor.

Things You Should Have Done returns soon to BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
