Channel 4 is set to bring The Handmaid's Tale to a gripping conclusion with the sixth and final season of the acclaimed dystopian drama. Ahead of its return, all five previous seasons will be available to stream, giving fans a chance to revisit June's harrowing journey through the totalitarian nightmare of Gilead.
Based on Margaret Atwood's classic novel, the series follows June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss), a woman forced into servitude as a Handmaid in a regime where fertile women are stripped of their autonomy and assigned to powerful men. Over the years, June has fought relentlessly against the oppressive system, making sacrifices and enduring unthinkable hardships in the pursuit of freedom.
The final season sees her determination push her deeper into the fight against Gilead, with Luke and Moira joining the resistance. Meanwhile, Serena attempts to reshape the regime from within, Commander Lawrence and Aunt Lydia are forced to face the consequences of their actions, and Nick must confront his own conflicting loyalties. As the battle for justice reaches its climax, the series explores themes of hope, resilience, and the enduring power of defiance.
Produced by MGM Television, The Handmaid's Tale is led by creator Bruce Miller, alongside a team of executive producers including Elisabeth Moss, Warren Littlefield, Eric Tuchman, and Yahlin Chang. The final season promises an intense and emotional farewell to one of the most powerful and politically charged dramas of recent years.
