Popular quiz show The Finish Line is back for a brand-new series, returning to BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Monday 10 March at 4.30pm. Airing weekdays for six weeks, the fast-paced game show, hosted by Roman Kemp and co-hosted by Sarah Greene, promises more high-stakes competition, gripping finishes and nail-biting tension.
The series sees contestants go head-to-head in a unique blend of quizzing and racing, where speed and knowledge are equally important. Each episode features multiple qualifiers and races, with players battling to cross the finish line ahead of their rivals in pursuit of a cash prize. With unexpected twists and pressure mounting at every turn, the latest series is set to deliver even more intense moments for both players and viewers.
Roman Kemp expressed his excitement about the show's return, teasing "seriously tense moments" and plenty of surprises. Sarah Greene echoed the enthusiasm, calling the new series "bolder and brighter than before" and promising a "fully supercharged quiz" for contestants and audiences alike.
The show, produced by Potato in partnership with Nice One Productions and supported by Northern Ireland Screen, has quickly become a favourite among daytime viewers. Martin Scott, Executive Producer at Potato, highlighted its thrilling format, while Nice One's Chris Jones praised the fast-paced nature of the show and its success in Belfast's growing studio quiz scene.
Alex McLeod, Commissioning Editor for BBC Daytime, described The Finish Line as a family favourite with real heart-racing moments that keep audiences engaged. With its energetic hosts, quick-fire questions and dynamic gameplay, the new series is set to continue its winning streak when it returns on 10 March.
