ITVX is set to launch North Shore, a gripping six-part murder mystery that will be available to stream for free starting December 29, 2024. The series takes viewers to Sydney Harbour, where the murder of a UK politician's daughter triggers a high-stakes investigation. At its heart is the uneasy partnership between a British detective, Max, and his Australian counterpart, Layla, as they work together to untangle a complex web of secrets and international political intrigue.
The show features an impressive cast, with Game of Thrones star John Bradley and Golden Globe winner Joanne Froggatt (Liar, The Commons) leading the charge. They're joined by Kirsty Sturgess (Thirteen Lives), Dan Spielman (The Code), Rob Carlton (Paper Giants), and Matt Passmore (Frayed), with supporting performances from Rhys Muldoon, Claire Lovering, and Chris Alosio. This ensemble promises to bring depth and intensity to the story.
Created by Mike Bullen, known for Cold Feet, and directed by Gregor Jordan (Two Hands), the series also benefits from the storytelling talents of Marcia Gardner (The Doctor Blake Mysteries). Together, the creative team has crafted a thriller that balances personal drama with the tension of an unfolding conspiracy that could have far-reaching consequences.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Sydney, North Shore explores the clash of cultures between its two detectives while unraveling a mystery that threatens international diplomacy. With its stellar cast, taut writing, and breathtaking visuals, the show is poised to become a must-watch for fans of crime thrillers. Make sure to tune in on December 29 to catch the action on ITVX.
