Sky Releases Official Trailer for Dune: Prophecy, Premiering November 18th on Sky and NOW

Sky has officially unveiled the much-anticipated trailer for Dune: Prophecy, the latest entry in the Dune universe. The series will premiere exclusively on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW on Monday, November 18th, with new episodes released every Monday in the UK and Ireland.

The six-episode series boasts a stellar cast led by Academy Award® and BAFTA nominee Emily Watson OBE (Chernobyl, Breaking the Waves) alongside Olivia Williams (The Father), Travis Fimmel (Vikings), Jodhi May (The Last of the Mohicans), and Mark Strong (Kingsman).

A New Chapter in the Dune Universe

Set 10,000 years before the rise of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy offers fans a captivating look into the early days of the Dune mythos. The story revolves around two Harkonnen sisters as they navigate dangerous political and mystical forces, laying the foundation for the Bene Gesserit, the iconic and powerful female sect central to the Dune saga.

The series draws inspiration from Sisterhood of Dune, a novel co-authored by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, expanding on the origins of the Bene Gesserit and offering viewers new insights into the rich tapestry of Frank Herbert's legendary universe.

Star-Studded Cast and Creative Team

Dune: Prophecy boasts an impressive ensemble cast, which, in addition to its lead stars, includes Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Jade Anouka, Chloe Lea, and Edward Davis. The expansive supporting cast features both rising stars and seasoned actors, including Shalom Brune-Franklin, Charithra Chandran, and Aoife Hinds.

Alison Schapker (Westworld, Altered Carbon) serves as showrunner and executive producer, while Diane Ademu-John, co-developer of the series, also takes on executive production duties. Anna Foerster, known for her work on Outlander, directed multiple episodes, including the series premiere. Other notable executive producers include Dune author Brian Herbert, Kevin J. Anderson, Scott Z. Burns, and Jon Spaihts.

The series is co-produced by HBO and Legendary Television, the same studio behind the Dune film franchise, which has already garnered critical acclaim and several prestigious awards, including six Academy Awards® for the first instalment.
