McGee shared her excitement about the project, saying, "I couldn't be more excited to start production on How To Get To Heaven From Belfast. A mystery full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing and make you laugh out loud. Let's go girls!"

The story centres on Saoirse, a clever yet chaotic TV writer; Robyn, a glamorous but stressed-out mother of three; and Dara, a dependable and reserved carer. Despite their different lives, the trio remain as close as ever. Their bond is tested when they receive an email about the death of Greta, the estranged fourth member of their childhood gang. A series of eerie events at Greta's wake sets them on a journey filled with danger, humour, and unexpected revelations. As they travel through Ireland and beyond, they confront secrets from their past and face unpredictable challenges, exploring themes of friendship, memory, and the twists and turns of life.

Directed by Michael Lennox and produced by Brian J. Falconer under Hat Trick Productions, How To Get To Heaven From Belfast promises to deliver a captivating blend of comedy and thriller elements across eight hour-long episodes. This new series is set to offer viewers an engaging and laughter-filled adventure, showcasing McGee's distinctive storytelling and character development on Netflix.
