The BBC and Prime Video have officially announced the addition of new cast members joining Tom Hiddleston for the eagerly anticipated return of The Night Manager. Following the success of the first series, which garnered multiple BAFTAs, Emmy Awards, and Golden Globes, two new series are set to continue the story of Jonathan Pine, the enigmatic night manager played by Hiddleston.

The new cast includes Diego Calva, known for his roles in Babylon and Narcos: Mexico, and Emmy Award nominee Camila Morrone from Daisy Jones & The Six. They will be joined by Indira Varma (Obsession, Obi-Wan Kenobi), Paul Chahidi (Wicked Little Letters, The Serpent Queen), and Hayley Squires (Adult Material, Beau Is Afraid).
Produced by The Ink Factory, in association with Character 7, Demarest Films, and 127 Wall, and co-produced with Spanish partner Nostromo Pictures, the new series will premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK. Globally, the series will be available on Prime Video, thanks to a distribution deal handled by FIFTH SEASON.
Inspired by John le Carré's best-selling novel, the second series of The Night Manager will be written by the original show creator David Farr and directed by BAFTA-winning director Georgi Banks-Davies (I Hate Suzie, Paper Girls). Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Jonathan Pine, picking up the story eight years after the explosive finale of the first series.
Georgi Banks-Davies expressed her excitement about the new series, stating, "I wrote my dream list of actors to join The Night Manager, and I can't quite believe that I am now welcoming that list of talent to the show. What an incredible cast joining the brilliant Tom Hiddleston for this next chapter… I cannot wait to get them in front of the camera now and see the magic come to life."
The first series of The Night Manager was a phenomenal success, watched by over 10 million viewers in the UK and acclaimed for its gripping narrative and stellar performances. Hiddleston's portrayal of Jonathan Pine earned him a Golden Globe for Best Actor, contributing to the series' status as one of the most-watched TV shows of 2016.
The new series promises to build on this legacy, with David Farr returning as the creator and executive producer. Other executive producers include lead non-writing EP Stephen Garrett for Character 7, Georgi Banks-Davies, Hugh Laurie, and Tom Hiddleston, along with Joe Tsai and Arthur Wang for 127 Wall, Stephen and Simon Cornwell, Michele Wolkoff, and Tessa Inkelaar for The Ink Factory, Adrián Guerra for Nostromo Pictures, William D. Johnson for Demarest Films, Nick Cornwell, Susanne Bier, Chris Rice for FIFTH SEASON, and Gaynor Holmes for the BBC.
Fans can look forward to an enthralling continuation of Jonathan Pine's story, filled with the intrigue and suspense that made the first series a standout hit. The Night Manager series one is currently available for streaming on BBC iPlayer, offering a perfect opportunity for viewers to catch up before the new series premieres.
