Get ready for the ultimate musical showdown as the Eurovision Song Contest returns this May! Broadcasting live from Malmö, Sweden, the world's biggest music competition promises to dazzle audiences across the BBC with an array of spectacular performances.

In celebration of its 50th anniversary since ABBA's historic win in 1974, Sweden hosts this year's Eurovision following their victory in 2023 with Loreen's "Tattoo". With 37 countries competing, the excitement kicks off with two Semi-Finals on Tuesday 7th and Thursday 9th May, live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, hosted by Scott Mills and Rylan. On BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds, Richie Anderson leads the commentary for the first time.

The Grand Final, set for Saturday 11th May, will be commentated by Graham Norton on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with Scott Mills and Rylan on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds. Multi-award winning music superstar Olly Alexander will represent the UK with his single ‘Dizzy’.

This year, the 'Big Five' countries and host Sweden will perform their songs in full during the Semi-Finals, with Olly Alexander debuting 'Dizzy' on Tuesday 7 May. These performances will not compete for votes but add extra excitement to the event.

Director of Entertainment, Kate Phillips, promises an unforgettable Eurovision experience across BBC platforms, including special content celebrating the 50th anniversary of ABBA's "Waterloo". EastEnders fans are in for a treat as Olly Alexander visits Albert Square in a special episode.
