Channel 4 has announced an exciting new series featuring French biochemist and social media sensation Jessie Inchauspé, widely known as the "Glucose Goddess." With over 4.5 million followers and two international bestselling books to her name, Jessie has become a trusted voice in the wellness community, renowned for translating complex biochemical principles into easy-to-follow tips aimed at improving both physical and mental well-being. Now, she is bringing her expertise to television, leading a groundbreaking series that will test whether managing blood sugar levels can help people feel better and improve their overall health.

The series, produced by South Shore, will feature a diverse group of participants from across the UK who will monitor their blood glucose levels in real-time. Through careful observation, the show will explore how fluctuations in glucose levels may affect everything from food cravings to chronic conditions like type 2 diabetes, and even skin issues like acne. Jessie has long advocated that controlling glucose spikes, rather than focusing on calories, is key to improving health outcomes, and this series will give her a platform to test that theory with real people facing everyday health struggles.

Jessie will be joined by Dr. Rupy Aujla, the host of The Doctors Kitchen podcast, who will lend his expertise to help explain the science behind glucose and how it impacts the body. Together, they will introduce participants to Jessie's "glucose hacks," simple yet effective strategies designed to minimize blood sugar spikes and promote better health without the need for restrictive diets. The show aims to demonstrate that even small adjustments in eating habits can lead to significant improvements in both physical and mental well-being.

The series will be more than just an educational experience for viewers; it will also document the journeys of the participants as they learn to manage their glucose levels and potentially transform their lives. Whether they are dealing with cravings, struggling with conditions like diabetes, or simply seeking to improve their overall health, the show will explore how this new understanding of food and glucose can bring about real change.

Jessie Inchauspé expressed her excitement about the project, noting how important it is to make science accessible and practical for everyday people. "It's a huge honor to be making this series with South Shore and Channel 4," she said. "I hope our viewers take away practical food tips and learn that many conditions improve with better diet. I also hope the show contributes to pushing for change in the food industry."

Channel 4's Clemency Green, who commissioned the show, echoed these sentiments. "Jessie is brilliant at debunking the jargon and clearly explaining the facts behind the fad," she said. "I am delighted to be working with her and South Shore to make a show that can help us all make better choices when choosing what to eat."

For South Shore, the opportunity to collaborate with Jessie has already been transformative. Melanie Leach, joint CEO of South Shore, admitted to being personally influenced by Jessie's tips since meeting her. "Her easy-to-follow hacks and tips aren't a diet, they're a new way of life," she said.

Currently in pre-production, the series will air as a two-part special and is expected to captivate audiences when it debuts on Channel 4. Jessie Inchauspé's fresh approach to nutrition and health is likely to inspire many, offering practical, science-backed advice in a way that feels accessible and achievable for everyone. With the potential to challenge long-standing ideas about dieting and food, this series could mark the start of a new era in how we think about nutrition and well-being.
