Channel 4 Announces New Digital Series: The British Summer Survival Guide with Scarlett Moffatt

Channel 4 Sales has announced the launch of a new short-form digital series in collaboration with Boots. Building on its reputation as a leading content partner for brands, this series aims to entertain and engage audiences across multiple social media platforms.

Titled The British Summer Survival Guide, the series stars Gogglebox favourite Scarlett Moffatt, who ventures onto the streets of the UK to uncover the public's most embarrassing and hilarious summer stories.

Premiering on 18 July, this 4Studio Productions series consists of four 60-second episodes that will be available on Channel 4's YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok pages. Each episode features light-hearted reflections on summer mishaps and adventures, aiming to make Moffatt laugh the most.

A unique feature of each episode is the on-screen 'shock-o-meter', where the person with the most shocking story wins a 'British Summer Survival Pack'. This Boots-branded pack includes products such as Soltan suncream, Bubble Slam hydrating cream moisturiser, and Boots Cucumber Cleansing wipes. The episodes cover a variety of summer activities, including holiday stories, festivals, and Pride celebrations.

This collaboration marks the second Social Branded Entertainment partnership between Channel 4 and Boots, following the successful three-part social series Santa's Day Off in December 2023.

Rupinder Downie, Content Solutions Leader at Channel 4, expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, "We know our audience will relate to the authentic range of summer mishaps in our new series and Scarlett Moffatt is the perfect face for the campaign. The British Summer Survival Guide is set to bring a fresh wave of laughter and nostalgia, perfectly capturing the essence of British summer with Scarlett Moffatt's infectious humour and charm.
