Paul 'Wicky' Wickstead, the UK's favorite crime scene cleaner, is set to return for a much-anticipated third series of the BBC comedy, "The Cleaner." This season promises an exciting array of guest stars and even more spectacular crime scenes. Greg Davies is back in the lead role, and he's joined by a stellar cast including Steve Pemberton, Sharon Rooney, Ben Willbond, and Conleth Hill.

"The Cleaner," both written by and starring Greg Davies, follows the unconventional life of Paul 'Wicky' Wickstead, a state-certified cleaning technician specializing in crime scenes. With his trusty chemicals, brushes, and cleaning rags, Wicky is tasked with erasing the aftermath of death. Along the way, he encounters a variety of quirky characters, from victims' relatives and neighbors to the criminals themselves. Wicky's penchant for chit-chat often leads to peculiar and humorous interactions.

This season's impressive guest lineup features:

Steve Pemberton (Inside No 9)
Sharon Rooney (Barbie)
Ben Willbond (Ghosts)
Conleth Hill (Game of Thrones)

In addition, the cast includes Chaneil Kular, Derek Griffiths, Gemma Whelan, Harry Peacock, Paula Wilcox, Philippa Dunne, Rebekah Staton, Rosie Cavaliero, Sheila Reid, Sophia Dall'Aglio, Vicki Pepperdine, Viraj Juneja, and Zita Sattar, who returns as PS Ruth Edwards.

Greg Davies shared his excitement for the new series: "I am so delighted to be back wading around in blood. We have made sure that Wicky has some bizarre characters to deal with this series. Looking forward to sweating in a scene of crime suit and wearing the earring that my nieces find so cringe."

Jon Petrie, Director of Comedy for the BBC, echoed this sentiment: "We couldn't be happier to introduce our fantastic cast for the upcoming season of The Cleaner. Greg and SHUK have done a terrific job finding some top comedy talent for Wicky to bounce off, figuratively speaking."

Vivien Muller-Rommel of SHUK (Studio Hamburg UK) added: "We're immensely proud to be back, especially with the best of British comedy joining us on screen. Season 3 is hugely ambitious. In fact, we have so many cast members this time around that you really have to look for the tall, big guy to make sure he's still in it."

Produced by SHUK (Studio Hamburg UK) for BBC One and BBC iPlayer, "The Cleaner" (6x30') was commissioned by Jon Petrie. The executive producer is Vivien Muller-Rommel, with Sam Ward producing. The series is directed by Tom Marshall, and Tracey Gillham handled casting. Ben Caudell and Navi Lamba are the commissioning editors for the BBC, while BBC Studios will distribute the series globally, excluding German-language markets.

The show is adapted from the award-winning German comedy series "Der Tatortreiniger" (Crime Scene Cleaner), created by Ingrid Lausund. Fans can catch up on the first two series on BBC iPlayer and BritBox International in Australia, North America, and The Nordics.

Further broadcast details for Series 3 will be announced soon. Prepare for more laughter and chaos as Wicky tackles the dirtiest job on TV.
